Drainage Castings
The black coating you see on grates is not meant to be permanent. Any coating on an cast iron/ductile iron would require maintenance and need recoated over time. The coating is only meant to slow the process down from production, to inventory, to installation. Eventually the black coating will weather away resulting in a consistent dark patina

DISHED PATTERN GULLY GRIDS
Our gully grids are cast iron which provides an all round heavy duty, durable product.
They protect drain openings from leaves and other debris clogging up the drainage system, keeping water flowing freely and with ease. Which ultimately reduces risk of flooding and water damage.
The product weight class is A15
A15 Refers to the maximum weight load that this product can withstand. This product is commonly used in pedestrian areas. For example in gardens or pedestrian footfall areas where there is no vehicle contact. This gully grid can hold up to 1.5 tonnes.
